Which Are The Best WordPress Plugins?

So, which are the best WordPress plugins? This question must be one of the most asked online today as WordPress plugins have spawned an industry all on their own. In fact, they talk about how big an industry the iphone app business is; well, plugins are in a similar vein.

Basically, a plugin is designed to add functionality to your blog; it’s meant to make life easier. If there’s something you think would be great that would reduce time, attract traffic, promote your rss feeds, promote your blog, connect to social media sites in a flash, promote videos, bookmarking and the list goes on and on…you can be rest assured there will be a plugin that will do the job.

Just as an example of how popular WordPress plugins are, at last check, we went to WordPress.org and there were about 16,000 plugins of different capabilities listed. And they were all free. Now of course, things have become more sophisticated since plugins first appeared on the scene and there are a lot of paid plugins available too. But we are only concerned with free plugins for the purpose of this article. You don’t really need to pay for them unless there is a need to.

So what are the best WordPress plugins? Glad you asked. It’s funny how the universe works. I was just thinking that same thing and while I have my own list and thoughts, I got an email two days ago in the shape of a You Tube friend request. As it turns out, the guy who sent me the request had just completed a video on 12 of the top WordPress plugins.

“Okay” I thought, “let me check it out.” Ask and you shall receive. His name is Ross Wilson and he lists his top free plugins but a word of warning, he also lists two paid plugins at the end you may or may not want to explore further.
